National Project:
The Cancer Initiative
Program
In 1981, The Charmettes, Incorporated adopted a national thrust to eradicate cancer in our lifetime. In addition to our cancer awareness and education programs, we have contributed more than $950,000 to the Howard University Cancer Center in Washington, D.C., to support cancer research and services. In 2006, the chemotherapy infusion center was named, "The Charmettes, Inc. Gwendolyn B. Rodgers Chemotherapy Infusion Suite", in honor of the Charmettes long term generous support.

Today, The Charmettes, Incorporated is a nationally recognized women’s community service organization known for blazing trails and making a difference in the lives of families in our communities. With 20 chapters active throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., we are poised for even greater accomplishments in the future.
National Initiative
Anti-Human Trafficking
A monumental move at the 67th National Convention marked the implementation of a National Initiative aimed at raising awareness for Anti- Human Trafficking efforts. This initiative is unfolding across our entire organization and nation as more light is shed on this criminal enterprise, inspiring individuals from all walks of life to come together and make a positive impact on society. The Charmettes National Officers, and Chapters gather with our partners to unite in our shared commitment to bettering the world around us and celebrating the extraordinary power of human compassion and perseverance. Together, we can create a brighter future for generations to come.

Mental Health
Matters
The Charmettes, Incorporated is advocating for Mental Health Awareness. This National Initiative aims to destigmatize mental health issues and promote open conversations about mental well-being. By partnering with local mental health organizations, The Charmettes are hosting community events, workshops, and awareness drives to educate the public about the importance of seeking help and support when facing mental health challenges. Through their efforts, they hope to create a more understanding and compassionate society where everyone feels comfortable discussing their mental health and seeking help without fear of judgment.
Leadership Institute
Program
The Charmettes, Incorporated seeks to provide services and supports to women to increase their participation in civic community development efforts. The Women’s Empowerment Institute will work with Charmettes and partners from other organizations, learning together how to maximize collaborative organizational effectiveness as individual relationships are forged in a learning environment designed to increase the skills, confidence and knowledge required to take on new and expanded community roles and to lead, inspire and participate in community institutions at all levels.

The program is designed to expand the intergenerational and collaborative approach by including individuals from other not-for-profits and who work together through the participatory curriculum.
