The Charmettes, Inc. is partnering with NMDP to save lives through cellular therapy. NMDP is the world’s most diverse registry of potential blood stem cell donors. For patients with
blood cancers like leukemia and other blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia, there is a cure – a blood stem cell transplant.

However, all patients do not have an equal opportunity of finding a donor match and
receiving a lifesaving cure, especially patients of ethnic diverse backgrounds. Because
a patient is more likely to match a donor of the same ethnic background, The Charmettes are committed to adding as many new Black members to the NMDP
registry as possible.

61474. Our efforts will help increase the odds of finding a donor match for Black and
African American patients. If your chapter is interesting in collaborating with NMDP to
grow the national donor registry, please email your NMDP partner at college-
partners@nmdp.org. Your support for this lifesaving initiative is greatly appreciated.
